Growing Older Together's mission is to provide residents aged 60 and older,
in Wayne County, PA, western Sullivan County, NY, and adjacent areas, both the practical
means and social connections to live independently in their homes.

We do the kinds of tasks you might ask of a friend or neighbor – Just ask.
ASSISTING WITH CHORES
such as: grocery shopping, running errands (post office, bank, library), organizing closets
or files, prescription pickups (with or without member), occasional pet care and walking
such as: picking up mail, organizing paperwork, watering plants
LIGHT HOME MAINTENANCE
such as: changing light bulbs, occasional snow shoveling, hanging pictures, simple repairs,
refrigerator cleanout, moving light furniture, occasional gardening, occasional light cleaning
to share stories, do a puzzle, play a game, play cards, give respite to a caregiver,
check-in calls in person or by phone, walk with a member, read to or chat,
help with hobbies, share a special interest
TRANSPORTATION (9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays):
to and from medical or other appointments, shopping, beauty salon / barber shop, a book
club meeting, senior center, the Y or exercise classes, social and educational events, friends' houses
assistance with programming cell phones, setting up emails, software, simple computer tasks,
installation of electronic gadgets such as DVRs, iPads, Kindles, TV remotes, programmable thermostats
.There are no charges for services beyond the annual membership dues..
We are a non-profit, All Volunteer Organization with no paid staff. Volunteers undergo a careful
background check. They are a great group, and you’ll enjoy getting to know them!
